Just a few kilometres from the Marriott lies the Residence Inn – a chic extended stay hotel, boasting 105 self-catering apartments. Opened in 2020, Belgium’s first Residence Inn has quickly rose to become a leader in the local market.
In addition to these two iconic hotels, our owners are in the process of developing an additional property & meeting centre in the city that we aim to open in the next 2 years.
Due to internal progression, we are now looking for a Hotel Sales manager, a hunter with a passion for sales and hospitality to grow business for these exceptional properties.

Tasks
A day in the life of
As our Sales Executive, you will own all the aspects of the Sales Plan and manage in line with Interstate and brand requirements.
Key Responsibilities will be to :
- We are looking for a hunting profile: Active searching, cold calling…Continuously research potential new accounts, carryout extensive networking, conduct telesales calls, plan appointments and carry out weekly face to face sales calls in line with agreed targets.
- Use your commercial outlook, customer service skills and excellent sales skills to grow the business of the existing and new accounts in Ghent.
- Work with the General Manager, DOSM and Revenue team to continuously align and devise strategies and tactics to retain and grow the business and support revenue maximalisation.
- Produce together with the sales team a Commercial plan that accurately interprets the objectives of the business and maps out the actions and strategies. Use this to focus on your efforts across all market segments.
- Work with the DOSM, Revenue team and General Manager to continuously research competitor properties to obtain market and rate intelligence and an understanding of business trends, the competition and their key accounts. Utilize this intelligence to develop strategic plans, ensure the hotel remains competitive in the market place and to identify potential business to target.
- Attend and help drive Strategic Business Reviews. Take ownership and responsibility for agreed outputs from these meetings.
- Ensure KPIs and targets are achieved in line with hotel strategies and objectives.
- Support the General Manager, DOSM and Revenue team in the preparation of the hotel's annual budget.
Some travel will be expected as part of this role.
Profile
We will be looking for someone that has proven experience in similar role and preferably worked within a branded hotel structure. You will need to have a strong commercial outlook on sales and revenue and be very focused driven.
A good knowledge of PMS and CRM systems preferred, although training will be given.
