Our other hotel, The Residence Inn, located in the south of Ghent near the Ghelamco Football Arena and major motorways, is a modern extended-stay hotel, boasting 105 self-catering apartments. Opened in 2019, Belgium’s first Residence Inn has quickly risen to become a leader in the local market. In addition to these two iconic hotels, our owners are in the process of developing an additional hotel & meeting centre that we aim to open in the next 2 years.
The hotels are managed by Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA, is a division of the global Aimbridge Hospitality brand. We manage over 1,600 hotels and resorts worldwide that include big brands such as Hilton, Accor, Marriott and IHG as well as small independent hotels and everything in between, including a portfolio of prestigious hotels in Ghent.
To expand our business, we are now looking for a Meeting and Events Planner.

A Day in the Life of…
As Meeting & Events Planner, you will be promoting and executing all Meetings & Events business within the hotel in line with Aimbridge core values.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Group reservation requests from our guests from A to Z;
Commercial follow-up of our contracts;
Being the first point of contact for the guests at all times: both by phone, mail and during the event;
Working together with all operational departments to ensure a good service;
Invoicing in the Opera system and do follow-up and after-sales;
Reporting to management;
What do we need from you?
To be successful in this role, you must be able to multi task effectively, be enthusiastic and positive with an excellent telephone manner. Ideally you will have previous experience of working in sales administration role ideally within a hotel environment.
