Allround Back-Office Assistant

The Jane is housed in the chapel of the 19th-century Military Hospital in the Green Quarter of Antwerp. Nick Bril is at the helm of this now legendary restaurant in a beautiful setting. In the meantime, The Jane has stolen the hearts of a large number of foodies and gastronomes and is undergoing a constant culinary evolution.
With a staff of 60, we can speak of a real company structure that demands total organisation and stability. Not always evident, given the high level of service, the work pace and the general objectives that the employer maintains.

Tasks

As our all-round back-office assistant, you will work at our Antwerp office alongside your reservation, HR and finance colleagues. You will assist them when required. You will also be in close contact with the restaurant team.
Main tasks

  • Events in & out The Jane/untitled.
    - You are responsible for the general A-Z organisation of events and exclusive bookings.
  • Marketing & PR The Jane/untitled.
    Press
    - Deal with incoming press requests.
    - Provide journalists, foodies and influencers with the required information.

    Magazine
    - Attract (new) publicity partners.
    - Support the planning, logistics, meetings …

    Website & social media
    - Weekly follow-up of our social media.
    - Think along about content creation.
    - Write our newsletter.
    - Manage our LinkedIn profile.
  • Shop & merchandise
    - Follow-up online orders (prices, shipment and communication) and deliveries.
    - Manage stock.
  • Accountancy
    - Process incoming invoices.
    - Cost accounting.
    - Draw up a financial overview.

Profile

  • Affinity with hospitality.
  • Strong administrative skills, knowledge of MS Office and social media.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Communicative and sociable.
  • Strong, positive mindset and well-groomed appearance.
  • You are able to express yourself in Dutch, English and French.

Offer
