F&B Service Manager

Interstate Hotels & Resorts are now looking for a F&B Service Manager to join the team at Holiday Inn Express Ghent.
Tasks
As F&B Service Manager, you are responsible for the organisation of the F&B departments: restaurants, banqueting and bar. You will work closely with the General Manager to deliver an amazing guest and employee journey supported by brand standards and measured through key performance indicators. We work together as one team. Hence you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and support your colleagues to enhance a memorable experience throughout the hotel.
Holiday Inn Express has a flat organizational structure and a team of around 21 amazing employees, giving you the opportunity to work independently and to learn a lot.
Tasks
The ideal candidate is famous for its hospitable mindset and proven track record as an inspiring leader who enjoys coaching and empowering team members and who takes pride in meeting and exceeding expectations as one team. You are the main point of contact for our F&B staff and you ensure that everyone feels valued and is part of our team.
Your most important tasks will be:
- Operational
Monitors the correct performance of the activities using the banqueting function Sheets;
Makes sure that the outlets are always staffed correctly, and draws up the hourly schedules;
Coordinates the daily pre-shift meetings with the kitchen to ensure all employees are aware of the in-house activities;
Provides operational support to all outlets, and provides assistance where necessary;
Regularly evaluates the F&B activities to provide better service;
Evaluates F&B staff on the job and provides training and coaching.
Fulfils the responsibilities of the Duty Manager based on the monthly schedule;
- Commercial
Work closely with the Sales Department and general manager as well as the front of the house manager to guarantee the best possible turnover in F&B.
Provide ideas for food and beverage campaigns, and ensures the best possible implementation.
Strives towards the highest possible turnover every day by promoting the amount of covers and average checks.
Responsible for P&L management (budgeting and forecasting involvement)
- Monitoring and Record-keeping
Creates the hourly schedules, and keeps records of the hours worked correctly in consultation with HR;
Requests interim staff if necessary, in relation to the work that must be performed;
Places written orders in relation to the needed goods and accepts goods based on the written order forms;
Correctly processes the records of the deliveries and invoices in terms of cost control;
Checks the sales statistics by comparing requisitions, purchases, and sales figures;
Is responsible for the monthly preparation and coordination of the Food and Beverage inventory;
Monitors the inventory of the operational equipment;
Handles accurate reporting in I Auditor and Shield Safety (Interstate F&B tools)
Follows F&B calls from IHG and Interstate to deliver high performances and stay on track
Draws up and monitors compliance with the F&B budget.
Profile

Driven, result-oriented and hands-on with great attention to detail. You are familiar with monitoring budgets and monitoring the objectives of the finance department.
Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English, good knowledge of French. Both orally and in writing.
You are friendly and you have a neat appearance. You must have a customer-oriented attitude, and will always be looking for solutions, you can accept flexible working hours, show a positive attitude, and are proud of your job.
It goes without saying that you will be flexible, highly organised, and have the ability to manage teams at all levels.
