Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting hotel management in defining strategies related to business mix and pricing per season and day type for future periods, including the initial annual forecast.
- Collaborating closely with the management team to develop strategies that strengthen the hotel's competitive position and identify growth opportunities.
- Analyzing hotel performance data, including average daily rates, occupancy levels, and RevPAR.
- Conducting market research and competitor analysis to gain insights into performance (RevPAR index, market penetration) and pricing strategies.
- Ensuring accurate and dynamic forecasting for future periods, detailed by room type, segment, and day.
- Basing forecasts on recommendations from relevant systems and monitoring daily data such as portfolio, bookings, events, and calendar activities.
- Making daily decisions to optimize hotel revenue, including pricing, inventory management (opening/closing rate plans), group requests, and distribution channels.
- Ensuring that your recommendations are properly implemented by the reservations and front office teams, and that all systems are kept up to date.
- Promoting a revenue management culture within the hotel by organizing weekly yield meetings with the General Manager and other key stakeholders.
- Providing regular coaching and training to hotel teams to enhance their understanding of revenue optimization.
Profile:
- A bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management or a related field;
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the luxury segment;
- Experience in the Front Office or Reservations department is a plus;
- A driven and ambitious mindset, with the ability to consistently exceed guest expectations;
- Strong motivation to achieve commercial targets;
- A hospitable attitude and professional appearance;
- Strong empathetic skills;
- Broad span of control and a well-developed helicopter view;
- Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written; knowledge of French or German is an advantage;
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office and hotel systems;
- Proactive and hands-on mentality;
- Eager to learn and solution-oriented;
- Flexible and able to work well under pressure;
- No nine-to-five mentality; working during weekends is common and not a problem for you.
