This luxury lifestyle hotel is located adjacent to the magnificent Handelsbeurs where nowadays memorable meetings and conventions take place. Merchants and travellers from all over the world have been coming to Antwerp since the 16th century to trade in goods and gems, as from 2022, Sapphire House Antwerp welcomes these merchants (corporate) and travellers (leisure) once again. As Operations Manager in charge of F&B you are responsible for the daily operation and development of all departments, related processes, employees, products and administration, in order to achieve an optimal financial result. You manage the HOD’s and the operational team.
As operations manager, you are the eyes and ears of the general manager.
Tasks;
- Ensuring high quality service and guest satisfaction;
- Assigning work, giving directions and instructions;
- Supervising the progress and quality of the work, receiving and dealing with questions and/or complaints;
- Actively participating in the operational process, both during preparation and at peak moments;
- Ensuring correct administration and supplying the required data and reports;
- Drawing up work schedules;
- Supervising the compliance with the regulations in the field of safety, HACCP, working and presentation methods;
- Looking after the training/training of employees;
- Making suggestions for improvement based on practical experiences and feedback from guests;
- Adherence to all standards that belong to Marriott International & Autograph Collection.
- You are responsible for all departments in the hotel.
- You support the department heads where necessary and work closely with them.
- You ensure that operationally everything is up to standards to provide that excellent service to the guests.
- You ensure SOP implementation in all departments and monitor them regularly.
- You liaise with suppliers.
- You monitor coordination between all departments for smooth and efficient operation.
- Monitoring guest satisfaction is also part of your duties.
- You identify learning needs and assist in staff development.
Profiel
- Bachelor degree, preferably in Hotel Management
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar management role
- Guest focused
- Quality driven
- Well-groomed appearance
- Speaks and writes Dutch and English fluently
