We are currently looking for a Hotel Accountant to join our dynamic team here at Thon Hotel Brussels City Centre.

Do

◾Verify. You check all cash transactions, due backs, petty cash and perform unannounced spot checks of floats of all concerned staff members.
◾Examine. You review the commission reports and control the commission invoices.
◾Invoice. You ensure that groups are charged with the agreed rates for rooms and conference meetings.
◾Collect. You ensure that all invoices have a correct backup and reference number, you contact our customers in regards to outstanding payments and deal with invoice issue if any. You prepare and lead regular credit meetings review with our General Manager.
◾Handle. You are in charge of all credit cards related matters.
◾Repertoire. You inventory monthly the Food & Beverage stock, follow up on the receiving part and provide necessary provisions to the Service & Support accounting department supervising all hotels.
◾Support. You perform duties as part of our Duty Manager Team and are part of the Management Team.
◾Communicate. You ensure the liaison between the Service & Support accounting department and the hotel.

◾Experience: You have previous experience in a similar position in accounting or as a manager in a hotel.
Analytical. You understand numbers and have an eye for detail.
Communication. You love being in contact with both guests and colleagues in English and French, Dutch and every other languages is a plus.
Flexible. You adapt easily to people and situations.
Team player. You ensure that the department operates efficiently and respect the different targets/challenges.
Innovative. You think out the box, have a close eye on trends and adapt to the needs while making sure to respect the legal and internal rules.
IT systems. Knowledge of Opera & Microsoft Office is a plus.
