At the brand-new Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Ghent, STROOM Brasserie offers a contemporary take on Belgian cuisine in a warm, lively setting. We combine quality ingredients, seasonal dishes and a welcoming atmosphere where hotel guests and locals come together.

To strengthen our kitchen team, we are looking for a Chef de Partie who brings structure, consistency and passion for Belgian cuisine.

As Chef de Partie, you are responsible for your own section and play a key role in delivering high-quality, recognizable dishes with a modern twist.

• You prepare and present dishes according to the recipes and standards of the Head Chef
• You ensure consistency in taste, quality and presentation
• You manage your mise-en-place efficiently and maintain a clean, organized workstation
• You contribute to smooth service during both lunch and dinner operations
• You support the Sous Chef and Head Chef with menu execution and seasonal updates
• You guide and support junior colleagues where needed
• You collaborate closely with both kitchen and front-of-house teams

• You have 2–3 years of experience as Chef de Partie or Demi Chef (experience in brasserie or high-volume kitchen is a plus)
• You have a passion for Belgian cuisine and classic dishes with a modern touch
• You work in a structured and organized way, even during busy services
• You are a team player with a hands-on mentality
• You communicate well in English (Dutch is a plus)
• You are available full-time or at least 4/5, with flexibility between Monday and Sunday

Our location is easily accessible, no matter where you’re coming from. The hotel is located at Akkerhage 2B, 9000 Ghent, right by exit 9 (U.Z. Gent) of the E17 highway. Coming by car? Enjoy hassle-free parking in our spacious lot. Cyclists, scooter users, and speed pedelec riders can reach us safely via well-maintained bike paths, with convenient bike parking on site. Public transportation is also a breeze: tram and bus stops are within walking distance with smooth connections via De Lijn.
