Job summary

Ensures a professional and effective day-to-day IT operation in accordance brand standards and policies and procedures. Addresses guest’s and associates service needs in terms of IT systems and audiovisual equipment. Develops and maintains a positive working relationship with guests and associates.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Take an active role in supporting the operations of Cardo Brussels, where issues impacting our guests get the highest priority.
• Ensure smooth technology operations for all associates
• Set up and manage Audiovision and AV equipment for MICE and event.
• Together with our external suppliers, assist in ensuring all guest-facing technologies
• Oversee and manage service level agreements with these external suppliers
• Ensure smooth IT and audiovisual equipment assistance for all in-house guest’s demand
• Ensure smooth IT and audiovisual equipment assistance for all new and current Cardo Brussels associates
• Coordinate vendors and support for Hotel’s PMS, POS, door locks system, Wifi, etc…
• Stay up to date on IT related issues, both hardware and software, including attendance at user group meetings. Report issues and opportunities when identified.
• Assist in maintaining, implementing and adhering to all Cardo Hotels standard policies, systems and procedures relating to technology operations and systems contingency planning.
• Ensure all security, data-protection and data-privacy requirements are met to the requested level, including but not limited to back-ups, Internal check-lists etc

Basic Competencies - Fundamental competencies required for accomplishing basic work activities.

• Excellent English and French communication skills required, both written & verbally (knowledge of Dutch is a big plus)
• Understanding of general hotel operations and hotel specific software (PMS, POS, Door lock system, etc…)
• Good knowledge of Microsoft OS (both desktop, Server and Virtual Machine) and Office suites
• Highly motivated and naturally curious
• Must be a team player but must be able to work individually as well
• Basic vendor management skills
